Short version

Orbit Live has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. We do not collect your personal data and have no server that stores anything about you.

What the app does with data

Location. If you tap "My location", the app asks for permission to read your approximate location. It is used to zoom the globe there and to fetch weather from MET Norway (api.met.no). The (rounded) coordinates are sent to MET Norway, and the app does not store them. You can use the app without granting permission.

Maps and weather. To show imagery and data, the app fetches from NASA (GIBS), EUMETSAT (EUMETView), Environment and Climate Change Canada (MSC GeoMet), the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI), MET Norway and jsDelivr (country borders). These services see your IP address, as with all web traffic. We do not control how they handle it; see their own terms.

Settings. Zoom, view, modes and whether you have Pro are stored only on your device.

Purchases. Purchases of Pro are handled by Google Play. We learn that the purchase has been made, but never your payment details.

Sharing

We do not sell data and do not share data with anyone other than the services described above.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13.

Your rights

Because we do not store personal data about you, there is nothing for us to delete. If you uninstall the app, the local settings are removed. Send questions to support@nellieo.com.
